About Us

We call ourselves the Twisted Sisters.  Twisted? Yep!! Sisters?  Not by birth!  We find that our brains have twisted onto the same wavelengths more often than not.  But also...we are a little quirky!  We have no fears when it comes to talking about parenting, our guys, sex, books, movies, music, food, drinks, and bathrooming!  We are slightly obsessed with the darker side of romance books, but will sit down for anything Harry Potter too. We use parenthesis more than we should (it's our inner monologues coming out...you'll get used to it, we promise). We both work full-time with kids.  Everything makes sense and yet totally does not in our Twisted little world, and we are excited to invite you in and share in the fun!

To better know why each Twisted Sister writes the way we do, you have to know a little bit about each of us.

The Twisted Chick is a Southern Belle who married her high school sweetheart, Mr. Grey.  I am in love with all things that sparkle and if it has sequins, I MUST have it (except for the sequin pants that I really wanted back before Christmas, but Twisted Duck refused to be my friend if I bought them)!  Mr. Grey and I have 2 little Minions, Bug is the oldest and a total drama queen (she might get it from her mama), and Lulu is the youngest and completely wild, rambunctious, and never stops.  We have been known to do things out of order... seeing as Bug was born before we got married.  We live in a small town, close to both sets of our parents, which is a blessing and a curse (depends on the day as to which set is which).  I don't cook (unless you consider Zataran's and Lean Cuisine cooking), but like to bake.  Mr. Grey is my hard working guy who needs a hobby outside of work (watching cop shows doesn't count).  One of these days, we will build our dream house on our 16 acres of land, but for now, we will just let Mr. Grey drive his tractor and us girls will have bonfires.

The Twisted Duck is a divorced mama of one crazy little lady we call DoodleBug.  I have fallen in love with a Biker who has a super hero son we call The Dude.  Together, the kiddos are called The Batteries (think, Energizer).  My awesome little family likes all things outdoors, being crafty, and loud music.  The Biker is the cook in the family (I would live on popcorn, diet coke, and wine if it weren't for him).  I grew up in a big city and relocated to our rural little town after college.  It's an ever-changing adjustment, but I am happy to be raising the Batteries where there is freedom to roam and play but still enough around us to get out and experience new things!

~Love, the Twisted Sisters~
