Books: Mystery Man

After a long day that included a trip to David’s Bridal with my little minions to get them fitted for a junior bridesmaid dress and a flower girl dress for a wedding coming up in October and a lunch date with my grandparents and several aunts and uncles, I was ready to get home.  Seeing as all of this was done by myself (since Mr. Grey had to work this weekend), when my ass hit the chair in the living room, I was ready to just take a break.

After pouring a wonderfully delicious glass of wine, I opened up my Kindle app and lost myself in a wonderful book.  

Kristen Ashley is my go to author for a kick ass book and she never disappoints. She is the goddess of HOT alpha males and quirky, sassy female leads who aren’t afraid to give as good as they get.  Her writing style can definitely be seen in Mystery Man as it was, once again, a K.A. book I couldn’t put down.

Gwen, our female lead, picks up a guy while out drinking cosmos one night and decides to take him home.  But not only does she take him home that night, but he continues to come back, only at night, for a year and a half.  The kicker, she doesn’t even know his name (Yeah, yeah, I know what you’re thinking.  Who the hell would let somebody continue to sneak into their house night after night for a year and a half and never get his name!?! Well, once you read the sex scenes, you would do the same as Gwen)!

Things stay the same between them until Gwen’s trashy sister gets involved and then things REALLY start to get interesting!  Once her sister wreaks havoc and the shit begins to hit the fan, Gwen finds herself the interest of not only her Mystery Man, but also a HOT alpha male cop and a badass alpha MC gang leader. 

In typical K.A. fashion, Mystery Man is filled with a ton of danger, suspense, alpha male testosterone and badassness, seriously hot sex, and hilariously awesome best girlfriends who are there to knock some sense into the female lead when needed.  This book definitely earns 5 out of 5 stars for me!!!

So, go grab your favorite glass of wine, curl up in a comfy chair, and start reading Mystery Man! Since this is just the first book in the Dream Man series, I am headed off to lose myself in the next one!
